INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

V-STAR 1100

MODEL 614

1. Remove bolts holding frame accent trim or sissy bar mount on rear fender. Do one side at a time.

2. Slide supplied plate up behind fender between frame and inner side of fender so that holes line up with holes in fender. Rubber bumpers will point out just below edge of fender.

3. Assemble 8mm spools on 8mm x 65mm bolts in the front with chamfers towards head of bolts. 8mm x 6Omm bolts on rear using correct spacers. Replace accent trim or sissy bar mount.

4. Complete and tighten all mounts and bumper screws.

5. Lubricate rubber grommets with silicone grease provided.

6. Install bags over spools and attach with clips retained on inside of bags.

7. Loosen and retighten spool bolts with bags installed to provide best alignment.

8. Always look at each mounting clip to make sure they are properly seated in groove on spool.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Remove grease, oil or mud with mild detergent and water. For fast touch-up, Windex or LOW GLOSS ARMORALL will restore original luster.

Whenever. possible, release locks on saddlebag lids to allow the gaskets to expand during storage.

If you use bags to ice down drinks, later remove bags, drain water and blot up excess water. The foam interior lining is a closed-cell foam and does not retain water. Leave lids open until interiors are dry.

Bags will be easier to remove and mount if a small amount of silicone lubrication is applied to rubber mounting points.

Always look to make sure each of the saddlebag mounting clips on inside of bag are properly installed when mounting bags.

CAUTION: DO NOT EXCEED 20 LBS.
